The most important aspect of any image that you enter in the Salon is Impact. It must stand out and demand further scrutiny by the judges. It needs interest, does it tell a story & does it hold your interest .Is it well composed with a centre of interest. Have you used lighting creatively to enhance your image and create a mood with feeling. If your image has a more  geometric feeling to it have you used a sense of pattern with shape, texture and contrast. Obviously an image will not include all of these aspects but be aware of them when you are selecting your image for the Salon. You are competing against hundreds of other images for the judges’ attention so you need to have that WOW factor in yours.
