The Camera is Dead - Long Live Photography

The August workshop is being given by Desmond Burdon.  Desmond was one of the speakers at the recent Convention and also a Salon judge.  His workshop will be THE CAMERA IS DEAD / LONG LIVE PHOTOGRAPHY.

Most of what he communicates is working from a “phone camera”.  He said the workshop will be light in mood and creative and was extremely popular at the convention.

You need to register for this workshop as Desmond will communicate with you beforehand.  Many of you registered at this month’s meeting but for those who weren’t there and wish to be involved please send your name and email address to marendle@xtra.co.nz and I will forward to Desmond.

You will need to have an iPhone, android or iPad  as most of what he does is working from a “phone camera’.

Desmond will send you details of an app that is free to download.

He will ask you to send in a some of your work so he “can work it up “ and show the possibilities.  He feels this really helps to get people involved as a 2 hour workshop is very short and some pre prep will help everyone get more from the workshop.

Obviously if you don’t want to participate but just come along on the night that is fine, but it would be great for as many club members as possible to take advantage of this exciting workshop.
