<p>Hi Everyone,</p>

<p>Deane Robieson will be demonstrating various aspects of Macro Photography this Wednesday, 9th February at 7.30pm via Zoom.&nbsp; We invite you all to be part of this meeting.&nbsp; We can all learn something new and that's what so great about being part of a photography group.</p>

<p><strong>Deane will cover:-</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Definition of 'Macro'.</li>
<li>Macro lenses ranging from a 'standard' macro lens (1 x magnification) up to the Canon MP-E65mm (5 x magnification) and what the differences are... maybe beyond which is something I can discuss, but am not equipped to demonstrate.</li>
<li>How to maximise the magnification of your macro lens and the pitfalls of making this your goal</li>
<li>Discuss the steps to success (and failure) in macro (settings, lighting etc).</li>
<li>A brief overview of my preferred lighting method and the reasons why I use it</li>
<li>How to set up for a single-image macro shot.</li>
<li>Shooting / Editing a focus stacked image - advantages over a single shot, and and the processing technique (using Photoshop)</li>
<li>Capturing / storing insect specimens, preparation of specimen including rehydration, cleaning, posing techniques, chemicals etc</li>
<li>Equipment / technique/ editing high image count stacked images (focus stacking 100+ images (not Photoshop))&nbsp;</li>
<li>Do my best to answer questions / heckling during the presentation</li>
</ul>
