Street photography provides endless opportunities. Look for interesting signs along the street and then wait for the right people to walk past, interaction between people and shop windows, interaction between people along the street. Find an unobtrusive place where you can sit and watch the people passing, pre focus your camera and shoot from the waist. You can get great shots by putting your camera on the ground, use different focal lengths to get a variety of perspectives. Include interesting reflections and building fronts. Here graffiti can become part of your overall scene. Scout your street thoroughly first to decide where the best places to shoot are, where is there a lot of action, where is the best light etc. Wet, windy weather provide interesting studies. Remember your composition, you need a focal point and don’t get your image too cluttered, simple is better. Black and white works well for street photography.
