you can park at the carpark at the end of Exmouth Road, walk across the reserve and up the footbridge to the other side, it is quite dark at night, beware of a sunken sump

Direction - If coming from motorway, take Onewa Rd offramp, go through 1st set of traffic light on the right (when it is green :-) through to Sylvan Ave and turn left into the Domain's car park

There are a number of entry points. I parked at Ridell Road car park and walked along the beach to the sand spit and back probably in an hour with stops and starts.
